The Amsterdam MINI Tourist Scavenger Hunt is a 3.5 km (2.2 mi) self-guided walking tour of the historic center of the city. It takes 2 hours to complete and ends near the start location.
We tested this tour anew in August 2025 and greatly improved it.

This scavenger hunt has a difficulty level of EASY.
Buy either an individual or a group ticket. The ideal group size is 3 to 6 people, but it is not limited to that. Children are welcome and will enjoy most of the challenges.
After purchase, to begin your Amsterdam Mini walking tour, you will need to be on Damrak, in front of Pier 5, 1012 LG Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is the start location.
Once there, stand outside, log in to this website, and begin your hunt, or go to My Account and follow the instructions.
Amsterdam is in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. However, it is not the seat of the government, which is The Hague. It has a rich artistic heritage and an elaborate canal system. Indeed, these are lined with narrow houses with gabled facades dating back to the city’s 17th-century Golden Age.
The name Amsterdam comes from Amstelredamme, which roughly translates to a dam on the river Amstel, where the city’s roots date to the 12th century.
Some famous residents of Amsterdam include the diarist Anne Frank, artists Rembrandt van Rijn and Vincent van Gogh, and philosopher Baruch Spinoza. As a matter of fact, you will encounter elements of their past along this Tourist Scavenger Hunt.
Today, Amsterdam is home to almost 2.5 million people when considering its larger metropolitan area, but only 850,000 in the city proper.
