A Tourist Scavenger Hunts is a 2 to 3-hour self-guided walking tour with instructions through our mobile website on your smartphone. You’ll learn the history of a city or neighborhood, and the significance of various sites, monuments, and names. Also, you’ll enjoy solving our various challenges at almost every stop along the way.
Our tours:
Brooklyn
This tour starts at the Brooklyn Museum and takes you to Grand Army Plaza. See several churches before taking you through Prospect Park, alongside the zoo and botanical gardens before returning to the start location.
Chinatown/Little Italy
Walk from the Chinatown Information Kiosk to the Old Police Headquarters then down Mulberry St. Continue to Sara D Roosevelt Park to see the Brooklyn Bridge. Walk down through the heart of Chinatown, Columbus park, and the Legal District at Foley Square, before returning to the start location.
Chelsea
This tour begins at Hudson Yards and takes you past Madison Square Gardens to the Empire State Building. Continue to Madison Square Park and returns through several theatres and the High Line.
Greenwich Village
Start at Washington Square Park and walk the streets through New York University to the Hudson River Greenway. Return by way of the Stonewall National Monument, many historic houses, and churches.
Harlem
Walk from Marcus Garvey Park up to the National Jazz Museum and the Apollo Theatre. Continue to Morningside Park down to the Lafayette and Washington Monument, the Houdini House, and many churches before returning.
Lower Manhattan
This tour begins at Bowling Green, the Battery, and its attractions, and takes you up, Broadway to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Continue to City Hall, see the Manhattan Bridge, and walk through Pace University to the Federal Reserve, Federal Hall, and the NY Stock Exchange.
Midtown
Start at Grand Central Terminal and walk to the NY Public Library and Bryant Park, then on to 7th Ave. Walk up 7th Ave to Times Square and its numerous theatres, Hotel Edison, and then on to 5th Ave. Continue to Park Ave, the Waldorf Astoria, the Helmsley Building, and the MetLife Building.
Upper East Side
This tour takes you from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the Guggenheim and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir. Walk through Central Park behind the MET to Belvedere Castle, Bow Bridge, and Bethesda Fountain. Return via the Alice in Wonderland monument and several historic mansions.
Upper West Side
Start at the Lincoln Center and its many theatres and make your way to Central Park West to see several important buildings including the Dakota. Enter the park at Strawberry Fields to see Bow Bridge and Belvedere Castle. Exit the park and walk to Broadway and see several other historical buildings, churches, and theatres.
Other details
Further, they all end within a few blocks of their starting point. Indeed, you’ll never walk more than 5 minutes between 2 stops. However, this isn’t a race. Take as much, or as little time as you want.
